Matthew and Sze Chieh consider it a great joy to be serving at the East Asia School of Theology (EAST) in Singapore. At EAST, our vision is to see Christ-centered leaders transforming Asia and beyond. We want everyone in Asia and around the world to hear the gospel and we think that the best way for people to hear the good news about Jesus is through local churches and ministries where the Word of God is carefully preached. Of course, gospel-centered ministries require Christ-centered leaders who know how to carefully handle God’s Word. So, EAST exists to train these leaders.
We are very happy that as we minister at EAST, we are able to invest in men and women who can go back to many of the least reached parts of Asia to faithfully proclaim the gospel! Matthew teaches church history and systematic theology at the school. Sze Chieh is involved in training some of the wives of students and she also works to help international students get settled into Singapore when they come to the school.
In order to keep school fees lower, EAST does not pay a salary to any of our faculty. Instead, we depend on others who regularly give to our ministry. We praise God for each of you who are joining us in this ministry!
