Pittsburgh has a long history of influence on the culture and commerce of the nation and world. From the steel industry, to the polio vaccine, to it's current status as a shining example of how a once-depressed city can be reborn into one of the world's most livable and exciting destinations, what happens in the City of Bridges changes the world. The Cru campus ministry staff in Pittsburgh believe that God can use the students here to have an even greater culture and world shaping influence, as they experience Christ and go forth to make Him known!
We see ourselves as bridge builders in a city famous for its bridges. We build bridges to Jesus by seeking to introduce every student on every one of the 32 campuses in the Pittsburgh region to Him. We bridge disciples to disciplemakers, helping believers own their faith and multiply it into their friends and neighbors. And we build bridges to the world, as we want the students who leave the Steel City to do so with the vision, training, and passion for Jesus to help in the finishing of the Great Commission, wherever they may go. We seek to reach leaders and raise up leaders, for the glory of God and the fulfilling of His global purposes.
